This
is a steel templates and 17/32" drill bit, being sold together as a
kit for doing the UCA drop on a 64 & 1/2 - 66 Mustang. This
kit works on early Mustangs, and
Falcons. The template is made of 1/16" plate steel and is CNC cut for
accuracy. It bolts into the
shock tower in the stock A-arm location and allows you to drill
two pilot holes in the improved suspension location. The
template is then removed and the pilot
holes can then be enlarged to accept the UCA bolts. The drill bit
ia a medium quality bit made of M7 high speed steel. It will work
many times to inlarge an egsisting 1/2" hole so for best results I
recommend drilling one drill bit size at a time and finishing with the
17/32" bit.
If you are ordering this template for a car other than a Mustang,
before ordering please measure the distance
between the UCA studs on your car. A 3.75" measurement requires
the 64-66
template and a 4.75" measurement requires the 67-70
template.
Only one template is needed as you use the same template to drill the
pilot holes on both sides.
